Get the Garage Ready for the Fourth

The Fourth is almost here. Give every machine a quick look before the long weekend, and catch up on everything shipped this month: sharper reminders, paperwork tracking, a smarter logbook, and tighter schedules.

A machine getting a pre-ride once-over in the garage before a long weekend

The Fourth is almost here. America turns 250 this year, which is a pretty good excuse to load up and get out with the family.

So here’s your nudge: open LookOver this week. Give every machine a quick look before the long weekend. Nothing kills a family outing faster than a bike that won’t start or a UTV that was due for service three rides ago.

Since I last wrote, I’ve been shipping. A lot. Here’s what’s new.

Reminders, even sharper

Reminders got a serious tune-up this month. You now get a heads-up before something’s due, not just when it lands. If a few things come due together, they arrive bundled instead of one ping at a time. And the timing is tighter across the board. Same reliable reminders you know, just smarter about when and how they tap you on the shoulder. See how it works.

Registration and paperwork, tracked

You can now keep registration, insurance, and titles right alongside your service history. LookOver warns you before any of it expires. One less thing to get pulled over for. Take a look.

A smarter logbook

Service entries can be typed now, so scheduled work and warranty jobs are easy to tell apart at a glance. Fuel entries figure out your price per gallon on their own. And you can knock out several reminders at once when you do a big wrench session, all with one shared date and readings.

More on tagging your work in the service logbook, and on clearing a big day in one pass.

Schedules dialed in even tighter

I sat down with real OEM manuals and fine-tuned the service-hour intervals across different machine types, so your schedules line up even closer with how the manufacturer specs the work. Batteries factor in age now too, not just miles. Here’s what changed under the hood.

A fresh look online

LookOver.app got a real glow-up. A new screenshots gallery so you can see every feature before you tap. A rebuilt homepage and features page. And a running Updates log if you like to see what I’m shipping. There’s even a merch shop now if you want to rep LookOver at the trailhead.

A favor

LookOver is starting to pop up in a few online retailers, and I want to keep that going. If there’s a shop you’d love to see carry LookOver, or a local dealer you already trust and buy from, reach out and tell me. A warm intro from you beats me cold-calling every day of the week. Even just a name and a “you should talk to these folks” helps a ton.

One more thing

I went out to Silver Kings Hard Enduro as a spectator a couple weeks back. Met so many good people. Just about everyone I talked to had something kind to say about LookOver and how it’s going to make their life easier. A few even pulled out their phones and showed me their own version of the mile-long service list in their notes app. That’s the exact itch I built this thing to scratch, so it meant a lot to see it in the wild.

Have a safe and fun Fourth. Get the machines ready, then go be present with the people you love.

Ride more. Wrench less.

LookOver is free to download on iOS and Android. One machine is free forever.
