Intervals Calibrated for Real-World Riding

These intervals are based on data from major sport bike manufacturers, adjusted for how people actually ride, not worst-case manufacturer specs. Use the rider profile selector above the schedule to match your riding style. Always cross-reference with your owner's manual for model-specific requirements, as your manufacturer knows your machine best. Engine Oil: Performance Protection

High-revving street bike engines generate enormous heat and stress. Quality oil is essential.

Tires: Your Only Connection

Sport bike tires work harder than almost any other tire. Proper care is critical for safety and performance.

Brakes: Stop as Hard as You Go

Sport bikes generate serious speed. Your brakes need to handle it.

Brake Pads

  • Inspect every 4,000 miles
  • Replace below 2mm thickness
  • Track pads: more aggressive compound
  • Street pads: longer life, quieter

Brake Fluid

  • Check level every ride
  • Flush every 2 years or 8,000 miles
  • DOT 4 standard, DOT 5.1 for track
  • Dark fluid = moisture contamination

Rotor Care

  • Inspect for scoring and warping
  • Minimum thickness stamped on rotor
  • Blue discoloration = overheating
  • Replace in pairs if worn

Track Day Prep (Supersport)

Track days put extreme stress on your bike. Prepare properly.

Pre-Track Service

  • Fresh oil (track-spec if available)
  • Check brake pad thickness
  • Bleed brakes if spongy
  • Safety wire drain plugs

Tire Setup

  • Fresh tires if questionable
  • Drop pressure 2-4 PSI from street
  • Bring tire warmers (optional)
  • Check hot pressure mid-session

Safety Items

  • Tape over lights and mirrors
  • Remove or secure loose items
  • Check all bolts for tightness
  • Bring basic tools and tape

Post-Track Service

  • Change oil (don't reuse track oil)
  • Inspect brake pads for wear
  • Check tires for damage
  • Look for leaks or loose hardware
