LookOver started in a Montana garage. The founder had a new bike and wanted to take care of it right. He logged every service in his notes app: oil, chain, valve clearance, air filter. Before long, it was a disaster to manage.

He looked for a maintenance app built for powersports. Found nothing that fit. So he built one.

WHY SPORT UTV MAINTENANCE TRACKING IS DIFFERENT

A RZR XP 1000 at Glamis. A Maverick X3 hammering whoops in Baja. A Talon 1000R launching off desert jumps. Sport UTVs see more stress in 50 hours than a utility machine does in 500. Higher RPMs, harder landings, more heat, more vibration. Everything wears faster.

Manufacturers know this. That's why the "severe duty" intervals in your owner's manual are shorter than you'd expect. Can-Am's severe duty oil change interval for the X3 is 50 hours, half the normal interval. If you're riding hard (and you bought a sport UTV, so you are), those shorter intervals are your real schedule.

Drive belts on sport UTVs take a beating. Hard launches, high-speed runs, aggressive trail riding. A belt can go from "looks fine" to "shredded in the desert" faster than you'd like. Most sport UTV owners replace belts every 200-300 hours of aggressive use, regardless of whether it "looks okay."

LookOver tracks belt mileage and hours separately from other services. Set your replacement interval, log every inspection, and note the condition each time you check. When you're packing for a weekend trip and wondering if you should throw a spare belt in the bed, check the app. If you're within 50 hours of your interval, bring the spare. That simple.

Sport UTV suspension works harder than almost any other powersports application. Fox, King, Walker Evans shocks all need periodic rebuilds based on hours and riding intensity. Budget $300-500 per corner for a basic rebuild, more for racing.

The problem is remembering when you last serviced them. Was it 150 hours ago or 250? LookOver tracks shock service intervals by hours, so you're not guessing. Set your rebuild interval at 200 hours, log each service with photos of the shock condition, and know exactly when the next rebuild is due.

If you ride in dusty conditions (and most sport UTV riders do), your air filter service interval gets cut dramatically. Glamis sand, Mojave dust, and Texas trail dirt all demand more frequent filter checks. Some riders clean their filter after every ride in heavy dust.

LookOver handles this with flexible intervals. Set your air filter reminder for every 5 hours of dusty riding or every ride. Log it quickly after you clean it. When you're prepping for a three-day dune trip, you know your filter is fresh and your pre-filter is clean.
