Cycle News is one of the names everybody in this sport knows. Seeing something I built in my garage laid out on one of their pages is a strange feeling. Good strange.
What got me is the line they chose. They described LookOver as a maintenance tracker and service log for dirt bikes, ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles and personal watercraft, “along with the truck and trailer that haul them.” That last part is the whole idea. Your garage is not one machine. It is the bike, the quad, the sled that sits all summer, and the rig that gets all of it to the trailhead. They picked up on that without me having to explain it.
They covered the rest of it too. GPS and manual entry for mileage, fuel economy and engine hours. Custom service intervals built from a factory manual you upload or from how you actually ride. Safety-recall monitoring. Service Guidance, which tells you the tools and parts you need before you start the job. And the part that matters 20 miles from the trailhead: it works offline and syncs when you get back in range.
That is a real editorial page in a magazine riders have trusted for decades, describing the app accurately, to an audience that wrenches on its own machines. For a solo developer in Montana, that is about as good as it gets.
