"We built LookOver because we needed it ourselves. Every feature, every security decision comes from that same place: would this be good enough for our own machines?"
Your maintenance records matter. Here's why riders trust us with them.

Built by a Rider, For Riders
Derek's Problem Became Your Solution
When Derek Hildreth bought a new bike, he wanted to take care of it right. He started logging every service in a notes app: oil changes, chain adjustments, carb tuning, sprockets. Before long, he had a mile-long scroll that was impossible to manage.
He looked for an app built for riders like him. Nothing fit.
So he built it himself.
Derek's a software engineer with 20+ years of experience and a lifelong powersports enthusiast. He built LookOver during Montana winters and tested it on summer trails with real riders. The first time someone stopped mid-ride to log a service using the app he'd built, it clicked: this was solving a real problem.
LookOver began as a way to give back to the friends who have lifted bikes over cliffs and pushed through impossible climbs. That same spirit lives in every powersports group—dirt bikes, ATVs, UTVs, sleds, jet skis. We created LookOver to keep that connection strong, helping riders stay focused on the ride and each other, not on what might break next.
What this means for you:
LookOver isn't a corporate product built by people who've never touched a throttle. It's built by someone who owns dirt bikes, ATVs, and UTVs. Someone who's forgotten oil changes and paid the price. Someone who gets it.
Every security decision, every feature, every design choice comes from that place: would this be good enough for our own machines?
Your Data Is Yours Alone
Private by Design
Only you can see your machines and maintenance records. We use database-level security policies that prevent anyone else from accessing your data. Not other users. Not even us.
Export Anytime
Your data isn't locked in. Export your complete maintenance history with one tap. Keep local backups. Move to another system if you want. We built this to serve you, not trap you.
No Selling, No Sharing
We're riders, not data brokers. Your maintenance records, photos, and notes stay between you and us. We don't sell data to advertisers, dealerships, or anyone else.
Unlike Other Apps:
We don't sell your data to parts manufacturers. We don't share maintenance patterns with dealerships. We don't track you for advertisers. Your garage is your business.
Proven Reliability
Zero Critical Crashes
Since launch, we've had zero crash reports in the Apple App Store or Google Play Console. We test thoroughly before releasing updates because your maintenance tracker needs to work when you need it.
Built to Last
Derek founded LookOver and remains actively involved in development and support. As we grow, we're building the company to serve riders for the long term, with sustainable infrastructure and clear planning for the future.
Works When You Need It
No cell signal on the trail? No problem. Your data lives on your device first and syncs automatically when you're back in range. You're never locked out of your own records.
Protected by Professional Infrastructure
Your Data Is Backed Up and Encrypted
We run on professional-tier cloud infrastructure trusted by companies worldwide. Your maintenance history is backed up daily, encrypted in transit and at rest, and monitored 24/7.
What this means in plain English:
Drop your phone in a river? Your records are safe (daily backups, 7-day retention)
Someone tries to intercept your data? Can't read it (bank-level encryption)
Something breaks at 2am? We know before you do (proactive monitoring)
No cell signal on the trail? No problem (offline-first design)
We recently upgraded to professional-tier infrastructure because reliability matters more than saving a few bucks. We use daily backups, encryption, and monitoring tools to protect your data the same way we protect our own.
For the mechanically curious, here's what's under the hood:
Enterprise-grade relational database with daily backups (7-day retention)
Database-level security policies enforcing data isolation between users
Token-based authentication with secure session management
TLS/HTTPS encryption for all data transmission between your device and our servers
Professional error tracking and session diagnostics for proactive support
Local-first architecture with automatic sync when connectivity returns
Full export capabilities built into the app (your data, your control)
